Find your future during ‘Discover Day’ event at Potomac State College

No matter where you want to go or the career you’re seeking, finding and navigating the right path for your future can begin within the West Virginia University system during the next Discover Day event on the Potomac State College campus, Friday, Nov. 11.

“A wide variety of activities and events have been scheduled to give students the opportunity to experience college life; ask questions of faculty, staff and coaches; and tour our beautiful campus,” said Beth Little, dean of Enrollment Management.

Discover Potomac State Day kicks off with registration and refreshments at 10 a.m. in the Church-McKee Arts Center, followed by a welcome from Dean of Enrollment Management Beth Little, at 10:30 a.m. Participants will then experience a PSC classroom and sit in on presentations from the Office of Student Experience and Financial Aid by the WVU Hub.

After a complimentary lunch, participants will visit the Majors/Information Fair where they can learn more about the College’s academic offerings as well as talk with a career specialist if undecided about their major.

They can also interact with representatives from various departments who will answer student/parent questions, including Financial Aid; Office of Accessibility Services; Academic Success Center; Admissions; Mental Health and Counseling Services; Department of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion; Student Health Center; and University Police; as well as obtaining information on housing, dining, student organizations, athletics, and the library.

Application reviews, along with on-the-spot admission decisions, will be made during the Discover PSC Day event, so visitors are encouraged to bring their high school or official college transcripts with them.

Participating students attending the event will be entered in a drawing for a $500 scholarship.

No matter where you are in your college exploration process, Potomac State College will help you explore available options, discover your academic path and achieve your career goals.

Although prior registration is not required, we do encourage registering in advance by visiting http://go.wvu.edu/discoverPSC. For additional information regarding the event, contact the Office of Enrollment Services at 304.788.6820 or at go2psc@mail.wvu.edu.
