82.5% of Pocahontas County residents old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 8,006 citizens living in Pocahontas County in 2021, 82.5% were old enough to vote, equating to 6,603 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 3,432 were male, constituting 52%, and 3,171 were female, making up 48%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Pocahontas County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 79.7%.
