West Virginia Wesleyan Softball will head to Glenville State on Saturday and Concord on Sunday after weather forced this weekend's matchups to flip venues. The Bobcats swept the Pioneers and the Mountain Lions last season in a pair of four-game series.

THE SCHEDULE
Saturday vs Glenville State at 1 & 3 p.m.
Sunday vs Concord at 1 & 3 p.m.

THE BOBCATS
Wesleyan enters (16-7) overall and (3-1) in MEC play after splitting with Fairmont State and sweeping Frostburg State on Monday and Tuesday.

Morgan Norris continues to be a leader of the Bobcat offense, hitting .313 with five doubles, three triples, 2 HR and 16 RBI with a .981 OPS. Taylor Swartz leads the team in BA and hits with a .343 AVG and 23 hits. Kendall Stoffel has improved her record to 7-1 (1st MEC) with a 1.49 ERA (3rd MEC) in 51.2 IP. Hannah Hudson sits at 7-3 (2nd MEC) with a 1.82 ERA (5th MEC) and 66 strikeouts (2nd MEC) in 61.2 innings of work.

GLENVILLE STATE PIONEERS
The Pioneers enter (8-12) overall and (1-3) in MEC play. GSU split with West Virginia State and were swept by Charleston on the first weekend of conference play.

Shelby McDaniels' .346 AVG and 18 hits leads the Pioneers as she also has added 8 RBI. Katelyn Richardson brings more power, hitting .327 with 17 hits, two doubles, one triple, 2 HR and 8 RBI with a .997 OPS. Addison Aguiniga leads the team in RBI with nine. Holly Brehm has been great all season for the Pioneers, posting a 1.48 ERA (2nd MEC) with seven complete games, 13 ER in 61.1 IP and 83 strikeouts (1st MEC).

Sara Scoone is in her third season as the Head Coach of the Pioneer Softball program. Scoone played collegiately at WVWC where she won two MEC Championships, appeared in four Regionals and three Super Regionals, competed in the 2017 DII World Series and was a two-time All-MEC Second Team selection. Scoone was an assistant under Steve Warner for two seasons before taking the helm at Glenville State.

CONCORD MOUNTAIN LIONS
The Mountain Lions enter (9-16) overall and (0-4) in MEC play, getting swept by West Virginia State and Charleston last weekend.

Concord is led by Sarah Thompson, who is hitting a team-leading .333 with 23 hits, three doubles, 3 HR and 13 RBI. Morgan Cline has been the best on the team with runners in scoring position, driving in 15 RBI. Nancy-Jo Roberts leads the CU pitching staff with a 3.77 ERA, 5-8 record and 78.0 IP.

Alyssa Morris is in her second season at the helm for Concord. In her first season, Morris led the Mountain Lions to 17 victories. Morris played college softball at Concord where she owns program records for HR (46) and RBI (169). She began her coaching career as a graduate assistant at Indiana Wesleyan, helping lead them to a 102-27 record and back-to-back NAIA College World Series appearances in two seasons. Morris also spent two seasons at Union College, one as an assistant and one at the helm.
