With the long hot summer behind us and crisp autumn days before us, West Virginia University Potomac State College alumni are looking forward to catching up with friends and former classmates during the College’s Homecoming celebration.
Alumni and friends are invited back to campus to engage in numerous exciting activities, including the Alumni Achievement Awards Banquet in the Davis Conference Center on Saturday, Oct. 15. Doors open at 5:15 p.m., with dinner served at 6 p.m., followed by the awards ceremony at 7 p.m.
Individuals being recognized this year include: Matty Staudt for Alumni Achievement, Dinah Courrier for Distinguished Service and Nicholas Gardner for Young Alumni.
The Alumni Association will also celebrate students who attended 10 years ago (2012), 25 years ago (1997) and 50 years ago (1972), as well as the year having the most attendees, along with the eldest alumna and alumnus in attendance. Various door prizes will be awarded.
Other Homecoming events include a pizza/agriculture display, tailgating, volleyball and soccer games, and a basketball showcase along with the annual alumni baseball and softball games. Campus tours have been planned for those wanting to see recent updates, as well as the crowning of the homecoming king and queen. Dates, times and the menu for Homecoming events can be found at go.wvu.edu/psc-homecoming.
Reservations are required for the Alumni Achievement Awards banquet ($35 per adult and $17.50 per child 12 and under) and can be made at https://tinyurl.com/PSC-Alumni-Banquet.
