West Virginia Wesleyan College Announces Rev. Dr. William H. Wilson as Homecoming Chapel Speaker

West Virginia Wesleyan College is delighted to have Rev. Dr. William H. Wilson ‘72, Hon. ‘13 to serve as the guest preacher for Homecoming 2022. The worship service is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 2 in Wesley Chapel. 

 Rev. Dr. William H. Wilson, formerly the Director of Connectional Ministries and Assistant to the Bishop of the West Virginia Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church, retired June 30, 2013, after 45 years of active ministry. He was licensed to preach in the former Methodist Church in 1968; ordained a Deacon in 1973 and an Elder of the United Methodist Church in 1977. 

Wilson earned a degree in sociology and theatre from WVWC in 1972 and received an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree from West Virginia Wesleyan College in 2013. He is also a graduate of Perkins School of Theology, SMU with a Master of Theology degree in pastoral care and counseling and completed a Doctorate of Ministry degree from Drew University in 1991.
