St. George ranked 38th in West Virginia for resident earnings in 2018

St. George ranked 38th among cities in West Virginia by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The median income of St. George residents was $31,776 per year, adjusted for inflation. It had 63 households with a population of 161.

The city with the highest median resident income in the state was Neibert with $71,434 per year after adjusting for inflation – $39,658 more than St. George. It had 46 households with a population of 89.

The city with the lowest median resident income in the state was Shepherdstown with $6,333 per year after adjusting for inflation – $25,443 less than St. George. It had 329 households with a population of 1,605.
